Billabong’s newest Adventure Division edit, Strike Mission, drops Shane Dorian right back where he’s always looked most at home: a remote tropical atoll, shallow reef passes and blue-water tubes, wave after wave. This time he’s got his son Jackson along for the trip, and the clip runs just under five minutes, set to Dark Horse Saloon’s “Dead Trails.”

The edit celebrates Dorian’s new A/Div “Strike Mission” collection of travel-ready surf gear, which takes its cue from The Blueprint, the 2002 Billabong profile film directed by Chad Campbell that showed off his surfing in Hawaii, Tahiti, Indonesia, Australia and Fiji. More than two decades on, Carve’s verdict is simple: the fountain of youth might just be a perfect barrel.
