Ava Holland, an 18-year-old surfer from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, made Lucky, a short edit built from footage shot around Bells and in Indonesia plus her own handycam clips. She told Stab the project let her surf creatively away from contest scoring. She premiered it at a local brewery, and the screening doubled as a fundraiser for her next Qualifying Series season.
