After a first-round loss in Portugal, a crew including Samuel Pupo and Cole Houshmand flew from Peniche straight to the Philippines to catch an 8-foot swell at Cloud 9, the newest venue on the WSL Championship Tour. They got five days of good surf and used it to learn the reef. Locals Kai Kai Alcala, John Mark ‘Marama’ Tokong and Lemar Delamide also feature.
