The story
Rincon Designs is Matt Moore’s Carpinteria surf shop with a shaping room in the back. It has been at 659 Linden Avenue since 1998, and the shop dates back to 1980.
It closed in March 2025 when the building went up for sale, then reopened in the same building after a renovation, with exposed trusses, a tin roof and mobile clothing racks.
Ryan and Ashley Moore now run it, with the same surfboards and apparel locals know.
